NEW COLORFUL FOLLOW UP COLLECTION - EILEEN KATHRYN BOYD VOLUME II

New Colorful Follow Up Collection for Duralee: Eileen Kathryn Boyd Volume II

As an artist creates a palette, so does a designer. Color sets the tone of a room; it has the ability to excite, calm, invigorate or soothe.  There are few designers that utilize the power of color as intricately and successfully as Eileen Kathryn Boyd.  In a continuation of their collaboration with Eileen, Duralee is pleased to introduce Duralee Designer: Eileen Kathryn Boyd Vol. II, a follow up to her successful first collection of fabrics for the home.

When creating Duralee Designer: Eileen Kathryn Boyd Vol. II, Eileen reached further into the color spectrum to create a painters box of hues that every designer could reach to for inspiration. The designs themselves have been thoughtfully choreographed so that each pattern and color has its complement and companion.  Considerable attention was placed on offering a variety of scale, color, texture and quality in order for the designer to be able to build a complete room.   These fresh new fabrics -- from mod-inspired psychedelic prints to sophisticated faux bois designs -- are exciting in their own right; but are also very relevant to the first collection, adding to the possibilities of new and intriguing color stories.

Each book of this four-book set stands on its own as a separate palette of colors and textures designed to inspire and encourage ambitious new color stories.   The tones of Turquoise/Kiwi reflect the shades of our natural world, from the crisp green of a granny smith apple to the allure of water and tranquil beaches. In Pewter/African Violet, perfectly toned grays mingle with an adventurous range of high octane amethyst and sophisticated lavenders to create a ready-to-use chic palette for the home.  Dahlia/Tangerine features sunny, happy yellows paired with orange nectar tones for a bright infusion of energetic attitude into any space.  Greige/Moonstone anchors the collection with a thoughtful array of neutral tones that offer versatility and work well with both cool grays and warm notes.

A sought-after authority on color, Eileen's sensible yet exciting approach to design is further explored in Duralee Designer: Eileen Kathryn Boyd Vol. II.  This collection is both the perfect complement to its predecessor and a cutting-edge addition to the designer's library.
