If you had a signature color, what would it be?  I love  the color peacock.  It is such a rich and luxurious color!

What is your favorite pattern from your collection & why?  My favorite is Alhambra Fret - a cut velvet. It is the perfect mix of  classic design meeting the modern world.

If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?  This I’ve thought about often, as I had different careers prior to my being an interior designer, I am doing what I want to be doing, I love it!

What was your favorite part about working with Duralee on your collection?  Working with their design team was a very fluid and enjoyable experience, and they have such broad access to mills, weaves and materials, that it made any design possible.

If you were to pick a song as your anthem, what is it?  This is tough question since lately I have been into my children’s top 40 pop songs.  I think it needs to be a classic ballad.  How about Peggy Lee singing “is that all there is”? I love the existential, humorous, yet truthful nature of this song.

Design trends tend to be cyclical, what trend would you like to see make a comeback?  Which do you wish would never return?  Comeback—Glamour, never return - shabby chic.

If you were to collaborate with any fashion designer, who would it be?  Someone revolutionary, iconic - the late Yves Saint Laurent.

Where is the most inspiring place you’ve ever been?  This is easy. Rome, and any where else in Italy.

If you could live on any movie set, which one would you pick?   I would have to say in that fabulous eclectic house in “I am love”, but with different characters save tilda swinton.

What is the best advice you could give a new designer just starting out?  Always treat design first and foremost as a business, you offer an important service to the world and its valuable to people.

If you had to choose any other designer to design your home, who would it be and why?  I would say Christian Liagre, I’ve always admired his work and love the way he mixes old with new.

Do you have any hidden talents?   I guess one talent (if one can call it that ) is drawing and painting, although there is never time in life to do it!

What’s on your wish-list right now? I love the work of Susanne Kuhn; I just saw her latest drawing exhibit in Rome.
