If you had a signature color, what would it be?Purple
What is your favorite pattern from your collection & why?Emmaleen. Love the colors-ways and its organic shape. I dedicated it to my daughter Emma because it’s simply romantic and sophisticated at the same time.
If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?Singer/Musician
What was your favorite part about working with Duralee on your collection?The creative freedom I was given, allowed me to showcase my love for texture, pattern and most importantly color.
If you were to pick a song as your anthem, what is it?I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor
Design trends tend to be cyclical, what trend would you like to see make a comeback? Which do you wish would never return?Would love to see Mario Buatta’s Chintz from the 80’s make a comeback.
If you were to collaborate with any fashion designer, who would it be?Finding so much inspiration in fashion I can easily see collaborating with Tom Ford, for his fashion forward designs.
Where is the most inspiring place you’ve ever been?The Faraglioni Rocks in Capri-breathtaking!
If you could live on any movie set, which one would you pick?Auntie Mame. Love her apartment on 23 Beekman Place in Sutton Place.
What is the best advice you could give a new designer just starting out?My advice is simple - find a way to stand out. Create a signature style you continue developing throughout your career. With so many designers out there it’s so important to find your niche. Start exploring and experimenting.
If you had to choose any other designer to design your home, who would it be and why?John Saladino, I admire his aesthetics, proportion, and balance in sculpturing a room.
Do you have any hidden talents?Play guitar in a band called Prospect Street.
